Steve has been an integral part of EDI’s management team for over 15 years as an Estimator and Project Manager. He graduated from University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree and has over 40 years of experience in the construction industry, including multi-family residential, water/wastewater, heavy/highway, and nuclear construction.
Mark Lane
Mark LaneProject Manager
Mark Lane holds a degree in Mineral Economics from Penn State University and started in the construction industry right out of college. He moved to Atlanta and joined EDI’s Estimator/Project Management team in 2006. Mark’s 30+ years in the site grading and utility business shows in his estimating, project management, purchasing, and project coordination with field personnel, detailed project documentation and superior communication with customers. Mark is an absolute asset to our team.
Keith Barber
Keith BarberField Operations Manager
Keith Joined EDI in 1994, and is responsible for all field operations. He has over 40 years of experience in all phases of site development and utility operations. While working closely with supervisors, crews, surveyors, subcontractors, and mechanics, Keith’s strong organizational skills make it possible for him to prioritize repairs, and to schedule manpower and equipment moves to keep all projects running as efficiently as possible. A successful job completed on time, and within budget brings Keith great satisfaction. He is truly one of the best in the industry!
Gary Cobb
Gary Cobb Site Superintendent
After serving as a Marine, Garry Cobb began his career with EDI as an equipment operator in 1995. Two years later he moved into a pipe foreman position, where he was responsible for all underground utilities, water, sewer and storm, until he was promoted to Superintendent. In his current position, Gary manages sites while working closely with the owners and General Superintendent. He is responsible for erosion control, clearing, grading, and works in conjunction with our Pipe and Grading Foremen. Gary has a true talent in managing and supervising subcontractor crews. One thing is for sure, if Gary is managing a site, it can be guaranteed the outcome will provide the quality work that Earth Development is known for.
Mark Ashe
Mark AsheHeavy Equipment Transport Specialist
Shortly after graduating high school, Mark joined the Marine Corps. He remained in the Marines until he was honorably discharged in 1984, at which point he went on to earn a degree in Criminal Justice from Southwestern Tech. Mark started his profession in the industry as an equipment operator, then eventually moved to Georgia to perform heavy equipment transporting. Mark joined EDI in 1996, as our Heavy Equipment Transport Specialist. He is one of the best in his profession, whether moving heavy iron in and out of tight traffic congested areas or on the open highway. When EDI’s equipment is scheduled to be relocated, Mark makes it happen, safety and delivered on time.
Tim Lawson
Tim LawsonPreventative Maintenance Mechanic
Tim started in the trucking industry in 1978. He owned his own truck and trailer and hauled over the road for 22 years. Once he met his wife and decided to start a family, he sold his truck and set out to find a career that would allow him to spend more time at home. Tim joined EDI in 2001, as a preventative maintenance mechanic and has since gained a plethora of knowledge in the newest equipment and their operations, as well the implementation of an extremely complex PM program. Tim has also taken on the role as a mechanic’s assistant, completing repairs when needed. Tim is a greatly valued asset to the EDI team.
William “Bucky” Cook
William “Bucky” CookGrading Foreman
William has worked a vast array of construction projects throughout his career. He has been a valued member of the team at EDI since 2008, and puts his lifetime of construction experience to use as one of our elite Grading Foremen. His ability to supervise and implement grading operations on projects in a timely, yet cost effective manner ensures that they are consistently completed to our customers’ satisfaction.
Michael Reddy
Michael Reddy Pipe Foreman
As a young teenager, Michael went to work for his father’s pipeline company. He started as a laborer and worked his way up through the ranks. Eventually, Michael was running all day to day operations until the company’s closing. Michael has recently joined the EDI team, bringing with him 30+ years of experience. In his short time here, he has already proven to be an excellent addition to our company.
Robert Mullins
Robert MullinsGrading Foreman
Robert has been an essential part of the EDI team for over 15 years. He started with us as a laborer and quickly progressed through the ranks. He oversees operations from clearing to finish grading. Robert always works hard to ensure each job is on time and on budget. He consistently exemplifies the principles and mission that EDI was founded on.
